Kido: energy path
(Chanting retreat)

Traditional Korean-style kido for seven days, non-stop (possibility to attend odd days).

The main instruments will be our voices and one moktak. We will rotate the moktak among participants and try to join the kido as much as we can. Outside of the kido we will maintain complete silence. There will be formal meals (breakfast and lunch) and a short work period. Anyone can join any time, from one week to only few hours.

Won Bo Sunim, started practicing in 1997 at the Vilnius Zen Center in Lithuania. Moved to Korea and joined the Hwa Gye Sa temple in 2000, becoming a novice nun in 2002. Attended a traditional Sutra school from 2003 to 2007 and was fully ordained in the Jogye Order in 2007. Participated in Kyolches in traditional Korean Zen halls and at Mu Sang Sa temple. Completed three years of kido at Poep Ryon Sa temple.
