The first of the temple rules is on keeping a bodhi mind –a commitment to practice to get enlightenment and save all beings from suffering. Making this commitment is an important step that gives us direction and courage. Over time, our practice becomes our direction. We can help this world with growing wisdom and compassion moment to moment.

By becoming a member of your local Zen Center, you help support its ongoing practice and programs. You’ll also automatically become a member of the international Kwan Um School of Zen, and part of its effort to bring this teaching to new students and to other parts of the world.

• As a member you are qualified for discounts* on retreats and programs at your Zen Center and other Zen Centers of the Kwan Um School of Zen. (*Members are eligible for discounts after one paid quarter –3 months– of membership dues).

• Free subscription to Primary Point, the international journal of Buddhism published three times a year by the Kwan Um School of Zen (paper version at the Zen Center, online version in your mail).

• Regular Kong-an interviews held in conjunction with meditation practice .

Membership fee: 25€ month.

Family Membership: 35€ month (includes 2 adults and 2 household family members to age 26. No limit on minor children)
